MARKETPLACE RESOURCES
Practical checklists for marketplace operations
Use these starting points to organize a review with your team. They are operational guidance, and each account needs a scope based on its platform, territory and evidence.
Prepare for a marketplace account audit
- List the marketplace, territory and account model: seller, vendor or retailer.
- Describe the main constraint and the decision you need to make.
- Record catalog size, fulfilment model, stock availability and important deadlines.
- Gather recent account-health notices, open cases and relevant performance reports.
- Identify who owns catalog, advertising, inventory and finance today.
- Agree what information can be shared and which secondary-user permissions are appropriate.
Start without sharing passwords. Request a marketplace audit.
Review inventory and order exceptions
- Separate unavailable products, low-stock risks and stranded or restricted listings.
- Compare marketplace stock with your source inventory and recent shipments.
- Review overdue orders, cancellations, returns and fulfilment exceptions.
- Check whether advertising is sending traffic to unavailable or unready products.
- Give each exception an owner, evidence reference and next review date.
Build a reconciliation evidence pack
- Match the settlement period, transaction identifiers and affected orders.
- Compare expected amounts with actual marketplace payments and deductions.
- Gather invoices, shipment records and the platform notices relevant to each exception.
- Record the discrepancy, amount, status, submission deadline and responsible owner.
- Track submitted cases and decisions without treating an open claim as recovered cash.
Eligibility and deadlines depend on the platform and transaction. Explore reconciliation and claims support.
